Speaker Series
I hand-built several speakers, experimenting with different materials to explore CMF (Color, Material, Finish) design.
Each speaker has its own unique aesthetic and material. This project let me combine audio engineering with creative material exploration.
All speakers were made as fully working models, with complete functionality.
I handled everything from circuit design to exterior design and internal structure planning.

Awesome Mix Vol.1 (2022)

MDF, Aluminium Plate, Cork,
Speaker Modules, and
Bluetooth Module
Use mdf, cheapest one, for building box enclouser, and try to use anodized aluminium for the face. Cork is used for the legs for a natural, warm feel.
Amphi (2023)
Aluminum, Prototyped with PLA,
Speaker Modules, A Lithium Battery,
and Adapter for Rail
Amphi is fabricated through CNC milling, using sandblasted aluminum as the main material.
The overall form was inspired by the Korean traditional bell that can be founded in buddist temple. Reinterpreted it into a simpler, more minimal shape.
It’s designed for both desktop and ceiling-mounted use.
For the prototype, I used PLA to 3D print the body, integrated speaker modules, a lithium battery for power, and a standard adapter to mount it on the ceiling rail.
Final prototype
The overall form features gentle curves to create a soft and inviting silhouette.
Dummy Boom (2021)

Bluetooth Module
Dummy Boom was made by laser-cutting holes into a large MDF panel and fitting speaker modules into them—a simple and fast way to prototype the concept.
Angled against the wall, the panel leaves a gap that acts like a sound chamber.
Pebble (2019)

PLA, Fabric,
and Speaker Modules
Used fabric as the main material and tested how well it allowed sound to pass through, making sure it didn’t interfere with the sound quality.
added a spotted, random dot texture to the lower plastic part to mimic the natural surface of stone.
